Jane Caughill: Not a nobody, definitely not a somebody. From a young age Jane knew she was different. She could tell you how many boats were on Lake Mead or a random fact about giraffes if she wanted to. But the one question she can't answer is what she's going to do after college. Being undeniably smart had its pros: an early graduation and a bright future in the medical field. Though, it also had its cons: the constant nagging and reliance everybody had on her. But no matter what, she always found herself helping them. Here's the plan so far: graduate, land a high-paying job in the medical field, live a happy life, the end. But ever since Jane had stepped into that bakery back home as a child, she'd been hooked on the craft. But she's strapped for cash and the pre-med track sounds a whole lot more financially promising. All she needed to do for the next 3 years was keep her head down and work off her pending college loans. The last thing she thought she'd be doing was tutoring some jock. • • • • • • • • Aiden Parker: Definitely not a nobody, and most definitely a somebody. As a three year starter for one of the most prolific college hockey teams in the country he has it all going for him. The looks, the talent, the charm. But when it comes to the classroom he's quite literally failing. With the team nearing playoffs and a sweet chance at the title, Aiden needs to find a way to boost his grades or risk riding the bench. What he wasn't expecting was to be tutored by some chick who could give Einstein a run for his money. She could be a bit shy at times, a bit lost in her thoughts too, but she's exactly what he needs to keep his spot on the team. The two of them strike a deal: she tutors him, he pays her, and that's that. Developing feelings wasn't a part of the deal. But as his feelings fail to dissipate, he begins to realize that maybe winning a championship won't be the sweetest victory after all. Winning the girl is.

Sugar's addicting. So is she. Graham Davis has two addictions: Hockey-and Gracie Daniels. (Not that he knows it yet.) At St. Brown University, Gracie Daniels is the golden girl. Blonde ponytail, perfect smile, always saying yes. So when she's asked to manage PR for the hockey team, she agrees-hoping to help thaw their notoriously icy captain. But Graham Davis doesn't melt. He's distant, guarded, and doesn't need help from a pink-sweater-wearing perfectionist... until he starts noticing things he shouldn't. Skipped meals. Covered bruises. Flinches too small to be accidental. Gracie is sweet, bright, and hiding more than anyone knows. And Graham can't stop looking.

(This is the second book in the edge series I recommend reading edge of control first) Two years after their explosive breakup, Charlotte Whitmore has rebuilt her life in LA-working with children, and dating a steady Kings defenseman. Cole Keaton, now a star forward for the San Jose Sharks, has a beach house, a new family on the ice, and a past he can't outskate. Then one game brings them face-to-face again. One arena. One loaded glance across the ice. One Jumbotron moment that shatters every wall they've built. Old enemies. Old lovers. Chemistry that never died-it just turned colder, sharper, more dangerous. What begins as clipped words and forced proximity becomes something neither can ignore: rain-soaked confessions, a bruise he didn't cause but can't unsee, a house on the coast built from dreams they once shared. They're not the reckless kids they used to be. She's guarded, disciplined, terrified of losing control again. He's steadier, scarred, carrying more regret than he admits. But every collision-on the boards, in stolen silences, in the space between heartbeats-threatens to either destroy them completely... or finally bring them back together. Some people don't just leave your life. They become the rhythm you can't stop hearing.

Charlotte Whitmore doesn't do chaos. She doesn't do parties. And she definitely doesn't do Cole Keaton. As a former Olympic figure skater with a perfectly controlled life, Charlotte prefers discipline over distraction - especially the kind that comes with Boston University's infamous hockey captain and his reckless reputation. Cole Keaton is trouble. Hot, arrogant, and dangerously charming, he lives for noise, competition, and late nights at Allston House. And for reasons he can't explain, he can't stop clashing with the one girl who sees right through him. Their enemies-to-lovers tension is instant. Their attraction is unavoidable. Their connection feels forbidden. But behind the teasing, the sparks, and the slow-burn chemistry lies a secret that could destroy everything they're building. Because not every love story starts honestly. And not every heartbreak comes without consequences.

With her thirtieth birthday looming, no romantic prospects, and a dream of motherhood slipping away, she's down to one last, desperate option: a decade-old pact made with her estranged childhood friend, Silas Beckett. There's just one hitch: Silas is now a superstar baseball player with a playboy reputation, and their friendship is a distant memory. Still, he agrees to their clinical, business-like plan: have a baby through fertility treatments, co-parent as best friends, and keep their hearts strictly out of the equation. But through sterile waiting rooms and late-night hormone shots, the old intimacy that once defined them rekindles into something deeper and far more dangerous. As the line between platonic and passionate blurs, their carefully constructed plan begins to fail in more ways than one. When they're left with nothing but failed treatments and inconvenient feelings, they have to face the fact that what they really want might not be a baby, but each other.

Zach Westbrook was my best friend-and the boy I'd secretly loved since forever. Until he said the one thing I was never supposed to hear. So I did what any heartbroken, humiliated girl would do. I ghosted him. Ditched the university we both planned to attend. And left without looking back. Our friendship ended the day I left town. Or so I thought. Three years later, I'm back. Not because I want to be, but because family comes first-and unfortunately, that means transferring to Ridgewater University. The same school Zach owns like a second skin. Still hot. Still cocky. Still the campus golden boy with a hockey stick. And still the last person I want to deal with. But I'm not the shy, awkward girl he used to know. I've changed. I've moved on. I'm no longer the girl who used to follow him around like a lost puppy. This time, I'm not the one getting benched.

Oh, let's not forget his minor in hoe behavior. They roll with different social cliques - there was supposed to be no chance of them meeting. Especially in their final year in college. Grace Williams has one rule: keep hockey players at arm's length. They're cocky. They're reckless. And worst of all, they know it. As a sophomore business major, Grace has better things to do than babysit a roster of over-confident athletes. But when she lands the role of running her college's hockey team's social media, avoiding them isn't an option. Her job depends on perfect captions, flawless photos, and making the team look good on and off the ice. Enter Mason Watson-sophomore, star forward, and infuriatingly charismatic. He's everything Grace swore off: smug, athletic, and far too good-looking for his own good. Worse, he seems determined to test her patience every time their paths cross. But when Mason's performance on the ice starts drawing attention from scouts, Grace is the one stuck shadowing him for exclusive content. The closer they're forced to work, the blurrier the lines get between staged photos and something real.
