She doesn't 'do' performing. Her songs are only known in her notebook, and nobody but Nicole ever gets a chance to hear them. Until one day, she tweets a link to a video with her song. When she turns eighteen she gets tickets for a concert in Saint Louis; her mom's hometown. Her grandmother still lives there so she and her best friend Nicole stay at Skyler's grandma's for a few days. At least, that was the plan. While visiting her grandma, something horrible happens at home. She doesn't make it to the airport on time, but help comes from an unexpected corner.
