Harry wacht in einem unbekannten Raum auf. Ein Arzt erklärt ihm, dass seine Erinnerungen an bestimmte Personen weg sind. Er wird sich an seine Freunde und all seine Feinde nicht mehr erinnern können. Ein ehemaliger Bekannter nimmt Harry zu sich auf, jedoch weiß Harry zu dem Zeitpunkt nicht, dass es sein damaliger Erzfeind Draco Malfoy ist. Relativ schnell erkennen sie, dass sie für einander geschaffen sind, doch ihr Glück wird durch eine gewisse Erinnerung zerstört. Draco hat schon die Hoffnung aufgegeben. Er hat sein Glück verloren. Als wäre es nicht genug, die Liebe seines Lebens zu verlieren, passieren weitere, fürchterliche Ereignisse, mit denen er nie gerechnet hätte. Er sieht auf einmal ein Licht am Ende des Tunnels. Seine Mutter gibt ihm eine Möglichkeit, alles in seinem Leben zu ändern und seine Liebe wieder für sich zu gewinnen. Zwar gäbe es mehrere Risiken und die Aktion ist sehr unvorhersehbar, doch er ergreift seine letzte Chance und reist in die Vergangenheit.
