Cara is your typical teenage girl, well almost, she's not the party type and she doesn't believe in relationships when she's this young, it''s not like they're going to last anyway, so why have them? Oh yea and her dad works for Bruno Mars. Cara has never met him and she doesn't plan on it either, she's heard his songs and seen him on tv and she knows what he is, a player. But when Cara's dad, who is too consumed in his work to care about her, tells her she needs to pretend to date Bruno so the press can think he is nice enough to date someone who isn't famous, nothing Cara can say will get her out of it.

It was like you were standing still and watching the memories made, press forward in high speed and when it all ends, you are just stuck, picking up the pieces from those memories. You try to forget the bad ones; you distract yourself from the bad with the good but, no matter how hard you try to forget you never will. The bad memories have no filter, there's no escaping them, there this void in your life reminding you that this could happen again or it will be worse next time. Because every time I looked back on my bad memories they got worse, they progressed into where I am now. Alone.

I close my eyes as I soak up his warmth from his body, the radio was playing softly and that one special song came on, making this moment every bit perfect, The Only Exception. "Oh my God." I say with a smile. Bruno looks down on me and smiles. He pulls away from me and extends his hand. "May I have this dance?" I laughed at how he was trying to re-enact the night we first met and kissed. "Yes, yes you may." I place my hand in his and he pulls me close to him once again. His arms wrap around my waist and pulls me as close as he possibly can. To the end of the song, Bruno takes my chin and lifts my face up to look at his. He gives a loving smile. "Can I kiss you?" I don't know how he does but he made me feel like I was that shy girl from Brooklyn all over again. "Yes." I whisper to him. He leans in and his lips connect to mine. My heart was racing and my face was warm, Bruno kisses me slow and sweet. The butterflies flying in my stomach, the warmth in my heart, it was all there. This kiss felt like our first. It felt, indescribable. He pulls away and his eyes meet mine. His fingers brush over my cheeks and along my jawline. He leans in close, and quietly whispers those three words I thought I'd never hear from another person. "I love you." •••• Blaise believed in love but she feared it.
