If you asked Darcy Kessler what her worst fear would be, she would immediately answer, "Getting caught." But by whom? You know how your parents promise you that you're special when you're really a nobody? Darcy's parents were telling the truth. At ten years old, vampires slaughtered her entire pack just to kidnap her. She escaped. At twelve, hunters hijacked the annual country-wide meeting of packs just to capture her. She escaped. At fifteen, Darcy's new home, the most powerful pack in North America was razed to the ground just to find her. At seventeen, she learned it was best to stay away. From humans, from her own kind, from everyone. Now she is a persecuted rogue, chased by the bitter prejudices of pack wolves everywhere. Most can't even remember the reason they hate the outlaw Darcy Hawthorne, but they know people died because of her. And it hurts. Darcy can't stay anywhere for long without getting caught and innocents getting hurt in the process, but that changes when she comes across the one person she can't leave behind. Her mate. Darcy's duty tells her she has to rebuild the Jade pack with her heirs. Her heart tells her she can't leave behind her only chance of love and family. Her head tells her he's going to get them both killed. Can they survive a territorial Alpha with a passion for feather boas, a vengeful hunter with a grudge against all wolves, an ancient demon who wants to wear them both as a coat, and the bitchy teenager who insists on coming with them?
