Coffee-holic Gerard Way works in a little paint store called Brush Strokes. He was minding his own business, when punk school boy Frank Iero comes waltzing in! Gerard having recently applied for a part time art teachers job at Frank's school, they become good friends, even though Gerard and Frank would like it to be more than that; they know that's it's wrong- right? Frank meets Gerard's brother and his friend Ray, who are: interesting characters and take Frank out of his comfort zone, but try to help him win Gerard over and become his boyfriend! Gerard screamed a silent 'fuck' in his head as the boy's tear streaked face snapped up, locking eyes with Gerard's. His intense hazel eyes held so many emotions it was hard for Gerard to distinguish whether the boy was doing this out of anger or sadness, "Go away," the words were laced with venom but they also shook with emotion so strong that Gerard wanted to cry as well.

Gerard is a talented magician, responsible for much of the success of the famous Envision Destiny cruise ship. He's also one of those people. You know, one of those people who just seem to take up all the space they come across with their arrogance and confidence. You wouldn't wanna touch their personality with a 10-foot pole, but still people admire them. That is beyond Frank. Working behind the cruise ship bars and seeing Gerard pretty much every day, he can't understand what's so great about him. Besides, everybody else doesn't have to deal with his snide remarks and rude comments. Because if there's one thing Gerard seems to love, it's the act of constantly pestering Frank.
