Corren's family is left shattered and in pieces after the suicide of Scott, Corren's brother. Six months later Corren has been in his third fight at school. His parents find this as an excuse to send him away, but Corren knows the real reason; they can't look him in the eye without seeing Scott. A new school, a new state, and a thousand miles away from home should mean a new start, but Corren is tired. He's tired of taking blades to his skin, he's done with his insomnia, and he's sick of feeling like Scott's death was his fault. Corren is without a doubt, tired of fighting. Drugs, love, family, friends. Being reckless is fun, but how far can you get before you're in too deep? Being this young, temptations are just begging for a chance! Will Corren win his battle, or is it too late for the boy with scars? [The Fighter's Series - Book 2] [Sequel to The Butterfly Effect]

But Fate believes in them...So what happens when their worlds collide and disaster strikes? When they're thrown together under strange circumstances and embark on an epic road trip to catch a plane to a wedding a long way from home? The clock is ticking...and they are seriously ticking each other off. But they're about to discover just how thin the line is between love and hate.

Ashley Martin has been through more grief than a person experiences in their entire life and carries baggage that no kid should ever entail. Tyler Miller is the school's scandalous bad boy who acts on impulse, blinded rage and will single-handedly destroy anybody who stands in his way. Then all of a sudden, they're thrown together and despite their destructive past, they're forced to overcome their differences. It's time for Ashley to stop running away from his death glares, blank stares and that spine-chilling scowl that reminds her just how little he cares. Driven by a whirlwind of secrets, a class assignment and midnight walks into the past, things should start working out. But then fate kicks in; hard-hitting and soul-crushing. It's a fight-or-flight situation, a reincarnation of her past, a chance for him to right the wrongs he did by her. A second chance is like giving someone an extra bullet for their gun after they missed you the first time round. So here's Tyler's gun. Here's Ashley's heart. And here's to their second chance, however hopeless it may seem.

Aubrey Wilson has the heart of an angel. As the type of person to always trust in others, she's admirable to peers. A total darling, but with a sadness that encases her heart. Anyone could shrink down in fright at the receiving end of Luke Taylor's infamous glare. Tall, muscular, dark-haired, and handsome, he's no stranger on or off the field. Not a kind stranger either. A total brooding asshole, but with a sadness that encases his heart. --- "You didn't have to hit him or anything," I lie my head on his broad, strong shoulder. "He shouldn't have touched you like that," he tucks a curl behind my ear. ~Strong Language~ ~Mild Violence~

She's a wild, free spirit who sees the good in everyone, and he's the hardened, bad-tempered loner who wants nothing to do with her-yet no matter how hard he tries to push her away, she's the one temptation he can't escape. *** He's never met someone with such a bubbly personality. Not to mention the wildness and odd phrases she says every five minutes. He hates it. He hates how he can't stay away from it. He hates what she does to him; it's not like him to chase after some girl. She gets under his skin like no other. She's never met someone with such a bad attitude. He's ill-mannered and menacing. The glare never seems to leave his face. Considering it all, she can't help but feel the attraction toward him. Dangerous attraction toward a seemingly dangerous man. Maybe it's the tattoos on his arm that gets her attention. Or maybe it's because she can tell there's hope for good under his rough exterior. And she's about to find it, whether he likes it or not. It's no secret that the two of them are complete and total opposites. *** "You like being called Sugar, don't you?" I tease, placing my toothbrush back after finishing. He does the same and gives me a side-eyed scowl. He grips my chin harshly and kisses me. My body temperature raises a good ten degrees and my right leg goes all wiggly. He pulls away. "You like it when I kiss you, don't you?" He teases the same way I did to him and I'm left blubbering. "I think both of our questions are rhetorical," I lower my voice up at him. His lip curls up into a smirk. *** #1 in Young Adult #9 in Badboy #1 in Cold #3 in Goodgirl #1 in Sweetheart #14 in Love *** *Warning* This story contains mature themes (language, scenes)

PLEASE DON'T READ THIS. I HAVEN'T UPLOADED OR THOUGHT OF THIS IN SEVEN YEARS. I MIGHT GET BACK TO IT SOMEDAY, BUT I HAVE OTHER THINGS IN THE WORKS TO OCCUPY MY MIND. ____________________________________ "It was murder, you better believe me -and I'm gonna prove it." Those were my thoughts back then...when my father's death was still my bright and shiny new present on my 12th birthday. FIVE YEARS LATER -after seeing visions of his death, having been thrown into a mental institute by my own mother, and working my ass off as I tried to stay sane for the good of my family- Mom's getting herself remarried to her long-time bestfriend. ...Meaning that her fiancé, his nebby son, and bratty daughter are going to move in with my mother, my brother Tony, and I. I think that's enough validation to prove that I'm allowed to be bitter. I don't know how this change will affect my..."job": Will it distract me from the investigation? Give me better leads? Or just downright screw up everything and end in the shedding of more tears and lives being ripped apart? And the question that's on everyone's minds: Can someone possibly be too broken to be fixed? __________________ IF YOU FIND: ABUSE, MILD LANGUAGE, MENTAL/EMOTIONAL DISORDERS, AND/OR DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS OF PERILOUS EVENTS OFFENSIVE...PLEASE REFRAIN FROM READING.
