When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her. Never ask about the past. Don’t expect a future. They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all. Hearts get infiltrated. Promises get broken. Rules get shattered. Love gets ugly. ---- Ugly Love by bestselling author Colleen Hoover will release Tuesday August 5, 2014. "Never call a girl a bitch," I glared into his eyes as he opened them, piercing into me, the bright blue drink I had just poured over him still dripping from his dark hair. "Or she just might act like one." I gave him one last sarcastic smile before pushing by him and walking away, practically strutting. Well, this year will be fun... • • • • Crystal Summers; a self-proclaimed expert in all things sarcastic and the human embodiment of destructive decisions. Trying to get away from her troubled past, she moves with her mom to California to start a new life, and potentially not screw this one up. There, she quickly meets Scarlett and Savanah, her new-found partners in crime, and her life finally begins to feel normal again for the first time in years. But she just so happens to also collide with the school's sexy, notorious jackass, Ashton Monroe.. and his pack of asswipes. She loathes him, and the feeling is mutual. But as the poets say, the line separating love and hate is a very thin one. And often times, when two people hate each other, it can grow into much more. AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is a companion story to ICE LIKE FIRE, the sequel to SNOW LIKE ASHES. I say "companion" as it parallels the beginning events of ICE LIKE FIRE -- and as such, you will find a few minor spoilers for ICE LIKE FIRE. If you are the sort of reader who screeches in horror at the thought of a spoiler of any kind, LOOK AWAY NOW. But if you are the sort of reader who flips through the pages of a book, perusing lines here and there before you've quite finished it yet...well, read on, dear rebel reader. Read on. *** SUMMARY: "She was part of Summer, and Summer was part of her, and this land wouldn't abandon her too." Ceridwen Preben, princess of Summer, has spent her life plotting against her brother, Simon, the Summerian king. Simon has embraced the ruling family's reputation for using their conduit to keep their subjects in a state of bliss, and has spent his reign slowly driving Summer into ruin, filling everyone with carelessness and letting them turn a blind eye to Summer's rampant -- and deadly -- slave trade. But Ceridwen refuses to let her kingdom disintegrate, and with the help of her fellow rebel-in-arms, Lekan, she hopes to undo Simon's lethal dealings. But when Ceridwen uncovers Simon's deadliest plot yet, she starts to realize just how deep magic runs -- and that even though her kingdom is one of sunlight, with light, there always comes shadows. *** The first part of this story will appear on Tuesday, September 8. Parts will continue to be uploaded every Tues/Thurs through October 8. Look for ICE LIKE FIRE, out October 13 from Balzer + Bray/HarperCollins!

Fame. Glory. Adventure. Welcome to Quest World. Amelie Saeowyn is a barmaid at The Dizzy Ogre, so named because the hills behind the tavern attract vicious ogres at a dizzying rate. This keeps the tavern full of would-be adventurers looking to get their feet wet in the wide, wonderful world of monster-slaying and quest-completing. But for Amelie, this just means a never-ending stream of too-big-for-their-britches armed noobs who drink a lot of mead and never leave tips. Unlike everyone else at The Dizzy Ogre, Amelie doesn't want to be an adventurer. She does, however, want to see what's beyond her village, but the owner of the tavern (who also happens to be her money-grubbing uncle) isn't about to let his best source of free labor saunter off into the night. Amelie has "family debts to pay," i.e. her uncle's still sore that his good-for-nothing sister dropped her on his doorstep as a babe. But Amelie's been sneaking money here and there, and she almost has enough to buy passage out of her village and leave this tavern in her dust. Until, one night, two very different strangers come into The Dizzy Ogre. What she chooses to do next could rewrite her fate -- or seal it.

You asked! You waited! And now -- Theron's point of view for FROST LIKE NIGHT! These chapters go hand in hand with the events of FROST LIKE NIGHT. For that reason, I've labeled them as they would go in the book: Chapter 2.5, Chapter 13.5, etc. **SPOILER WARNING** For those of you who have not read SNOW LIKE ASHES, ICE LIKE FIRE, or FROST LIKE NIGHT, well, you'll be in for a world of spoilers by reading this. But to each their own (I, personally, love spoiling myself, so if you too love spoilers, you're in good company).
