The Alpha refused the bond, denying her worth and turning his back on fate itself. She didn't beg. She didn't cry. She walked away. Leaving behind the pack that never protected her and the mate who never wanted her, she disappeared into the night, determined to survive without the title the moon had given her. Far from the Alpha's shadow, she learns to stand on her own, discovering strength she never knew she possessed. But the bond does not fade. As the Alpha begins to feel the weight of her absence, regret takes root. The Luna he rejected becomes the one thing he can not forget. Her silence haunts him. Her freedom weakens him. And when whispers spread of a powerful she-wolf rising beyond his territory, he realizes the truth too late. She was never weak. She was never beneath him. Now he wants her back. But the Luna who walked away is no longer the omega he rejected. She has learned to choose herself over fate, pride over pain, and freedom over a bond that once broke her. Will the Alpha earn forgiveness? Or will his greatest regret be realizing that some Lunas are not meant to stay-only to rise?

The girl with no wolf. An extra mouth to feed. A liability. A defenseless miscreation. Seraphina had heard it all. She had felt it all too. The bone aching bruises, the defenseless claw scratches just shy of her neck on the edges of her collarbone, she had seen it all too. It had been so long since it had started that she couldn't recall a time when the degradation was compliments and not insults. Now, it was all she ever expected. If she had known five years ago that not having a wolf would cause this much hate she would have begged her parents to move to another pack. It felt like an eternity since it all happened. Or rather what didn't happen. She still could not shift. She was defective. A mistake in the gene pool. But she didn't know she would end up like this. She couldn't have, just like she couldn't have expected to come face to face with the Alpha Slayer. A man casted in shadow. Not many had ever seen his face, but that didn't make him any less real. Alphas after all were dethroned from the likes of him. Word spreads quickly. So, when Seraphina ends up in his line of sight she has a lot more to figure out than just not having a wolf, because it very well might cost her, her life. Updated: Weekly ⚠️Mature Content⚠️ Book is completed and currently being revised and rewritten. This is book one of the For the Taking Trilogy.

Sabrina Reed is Nathan Alden's wife, but not by his choice... EXCERPT****** "I found her like this, sir," the guard announced. Sabrina stirred at the voice, blinking groggily and rubbing her eyes to chase away the blur clouding her vision. A towering figure stepped into focus. "What are you doing out here, Sabrina?" Nathan's voice was sharp, cutting through the fog of sleep. His jaw was tight, words pressed between clenched teeth. She blinked again, brushing hair from her face as she sat up. "What are you doing out here?" he repeated-louder this time, more demanding. He stood before her in a jet-black suit and white button-up shirt, sleeves rolled just enough to expose forearms clenched across his chest. His eyebrows were drawn tight, his eyes narrowed. "I came back late last night and... the guard was gone, so... I just fell asleep," she said softly, eyes lowering under the weight of his glare. He dismissed the guard with a silent nod, then stepped closer. "Where were you last night?" he asked, voice taut with suspicion. She yawned, trying to blink herself fully awake. "I've been volunteering at the animal shelter." "Get up," he ordered, tone clipped and harsh. "You expect me to believe that? Don't animal shelters close at a decent time?" She remained seated, her legs too stiff to move. "Yes, but-" "Get up!" he barked.
