Dark academia is an aesthetic revolving around the pursuit of knowledge and learning, it is often associated with English literature, but can branch into different subjects, such as science, history, art, etc. For this guide I'm going to be focusing English literature. A poetry book covering topics like mental health, daily life, spirituality, lgbtq identities and the typical experiences of a teenager. The last sections or "dictionary poetry" are a collection in which the poems are inspired by words from the dictionary. I wrote this book during a time of trying to explore different viewpoints and life in general. I choose the title "the colors of spring and winter" because at this time in my life I felt like I was not able to commit to things, and this title represents sticking to something I feel proud of.
