It was enough to make the little baby hairs on the back of my neck stand, but No this was different this was more. more then I could explain. "Speak little girl, or ill make you" he growled the thin thread of comprehension he had left was now split in the middle. "Why do you hate me" the words flew past my lips even I couldn't comprehend my own voice until his brows pulled together. "Is this why you came to bother me." he chuckled a cold glaze falling over his eyes "do you really want to know" he continued getting up causing his seat to furiously scrape against the pristine floors. "Huh Eden, would it satisfy you to know" he smirked. 🤍

"The Yellow Wallpaper" is a short story by American author Charlotte Perkins Gilman. The story is written in the first person in the form of journal entries written by a woman who is living in an old mansion for the summer alongside her physician husband, John. As a form of treatment, the woman is forbidden to work and is encouraged to eat and get lots of air in order to recuperate from what her husband determines is a "temporary nervous depression."
