En el distrito de Japón, se encuentran dos grandes Academias Militares enfocadas en la formación de Héroes. Éstas se ubican a los pies de la montaña Kitadake, están separadas a una gran distancia. Para moverse entre ellas (sólo en casos excepcionales) deben utilizar los autos y motos que poseen. Shiketsu era conocida por formar a las mejores mujeres heroínas, Yuuei reconocida por albergar a los mejores héroes varones de la nación. Ambas Academias con profesores reconocidos en el área de héroes. La directora de Shiketsu era Mr. Joke, el director de Yuuei, Nezu. Midnight, Las Pussycats, Mirko y Mt. Lady eran las encargadas de enseñar en Shiketsu. Eraserhead, Fat Gum, All Might, Present Mic, Beast Jeanist y Hawks enseñaban en Yuuei.
