Mermaids, they're not real, well not any more. That's what the crew of the Dark orca thought before hauling one out of the sea, though she's not much of a mermaid. No, she's something much, much worse.

The fan base for this show is criminally small, so this is me adding my piece; this will mainly be finntaine but maybe some background ships as well. I kinda suck at writing dialogue so just be prepared for that. Also Kaiko swears in here bc i like to believe that if it wasn't a kids show she would have the mouth of a fucking sailor.

Fontaine is now 18 years old. A lot has changed in her life except for one very persistent crush of hers. Question is, will she ever get what she wants from him when both their families are sworn enemies. Mature for later scenes.

As much as Fontaine Nekton loves living on a submarine, she wants to experience what it's like to live above the sea and not constantly having near death experiences. Well, one can only hope. A.K.A. Fontaine goes to high school... on land... What could go wrong?

Mermaids and sirens where figments of a child's imagination, characters in story and movies. Fantastical creations that couldn't possibly exits. And yet so many hold out hope that they do. That the wondrous beauty's inhabiting the untouchable watery kingdom lived. But they don't... Do they? Smiling Finn was a pirate, and just like any other pirate, he had heard the triumphant myth of how sailors and fishermen had rid the oceans of the beautiful mer. But nobody said anything about the nightmarish Sirens or their talons sharp enough to cleave bone and flesh. Or their scales like ink and eyes an endless vortex. Because they were meant to be a myth. Not something living and existing, hidden for millennia from prying eyes. And they still held resentment for there sisters extinction.

(AU starting on S1E7; mostly drabble-sized chapters) Finn makes his choice, but somehow gets kicked off of the Aronnax and the Dark Orca. Joining the Nektons is still his hope, but first he has to convince them that he's a good guy. Luckily, he's got Fontaine on his side. Ghostly shenanigans, lost languages, ninja teenagers, near-death experiences, and pirate curses abound as everyone's favorite (former) pirate tries to find his place among the good guys.

The Nektons have a problem, they need two people to get on an event hosted by one of the most dangerous Whale fishers, but Fontaine can't seem to get along with any of the boys she could go with. And the moment she decides who to take, everything changes, and suddenly they are dragged into danger after danger, but is there maybe a chance of LOVE being right around the corner?

This is a world where whatever mark you get on your skin, your soulmate gets it as well. Everybody is born with a specific talent that their soulmate thinks is attractive. The only problem is, Fontaine doesn't have a soulmate--or so she thinks. Welcome to the lives of a princess and a pirate, both very different, yet their souls are intertwined to make a perfect connection.
