When I set out to write a piece about House of The Dragon I started thinking about where a new character might fit in and how her story might have unfolded if she had been in Fire and Blood and rather than setting out to create a piece about Aegon. So whilst love does develop between the two characters Aegon retains his core character traits which we watch Annerys respond to in a patriarchal landscape where she has no allies other than her husband as her family remain at Dragonstone. My plan is to make a complex story with complex characters that can be read with nuance, but perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself. Anyway I hope you give it a try.
