¶Ai putea deduce că povestea mea este aceeași poveste pe care ai văzut-o de mii de ori în acele filme romantice pe Hallmark. Aceeași poveste pe care au trăit-o mulți oameni, iar restul au privit de pe margine cu sufletul la gură cum iubirea învinge totul. Dar nu te-ai putea înșela mai tare de atât. Povestea mea este întunecată și încâlcită. Băiatul, căruia oamenii i-au uitat numele, s-a hotărât să ardă lumea din jurul nostru, pedepsindu-mă astfel pentru păcatele unor oameni al căror sânge curge prin venele mele. Așadar, eu nu visez la un final fericit, ci la un final tragic. Pentru că, Skull a avut grijă să mă învețe ce înseamnă să-ți îmbrățișezi părțile cele mai întunecate și m-a forțat să gust din jocul primejdios al răzbunării.¶
