But fall below eighty and you're labelled Flawed, and life will not be so kind. Hannah is adopted by a Flawed family when her birth parents choose their social standing over their daughter and endures a life of struggle, hunger and service. Jason Conroy is a popular 16 year old with the world at his feet. That seemed to be the case until unexpectedly, and out of character, his father David informs him that they are to move to a desolate part of northern England for work reasons, leaving everything Jason loves behind. With only his cat Kato for company, the Conroy's arrive at their new home much to Jason's distaste. Things go from bad to worse as Jason struggles to settle, finding everything to moan about from the constant strange, dreary light outside and the spooky old house to inhospitable locals. On his first venture out Jason meets Jo, a beautiful but feisty 18 year old. For a moment she offers some respite to his misery until she suddenly becomes scared and tells Jason to be wary: 'Don't eat the food here. It's drugged. It's the planes; they don't want you to hear.' This bombshell opens up a dark and dangerous hidden world that surrounds both Jason and Jo as they attempt to uncover the truth behind her claims. A once stable father figure, David's real intentions for moving come into question. As they dig deeper, the full extent and scale of the deception begins to unfold, leaving Jason questioning everything he has ever been told. Fearing lies and searching for truths, Jason uncovers shocking personal secrets and revelations of an unbelievable origin that will change his life forever, even bringing the safety of the earth and the fate of the whole galaxy into doubt. My thoughts in poems. I'm not suicidal or even truly unhappy. I'm just confused and lost and I hope someone out there understands. These are the everyday thoughts I have that float around in my mind. This is my life, in poems. I like my poems and I hope you do too. Comment, vote, enjoy! New cover made by AyaPotter. Cute, hmm? Update: I was 14 as I began this book. I am now 17. My views have changed since beginning this collection and it would be much appreciated if you, reader, would keep that in mind while reading. I don't like editing after I've written and most of this has remained untouched since publication. We all change though. These are feeling in moments of passion, not utter truth, and no, not brilliance despite what I've been told. I know otherwise. Do not fall fate to the trap of these words and think everything through before accepting any of someone else's opinion even if it sounds good and true the first time reading or hearing it. I am not perfect by far and I've made mistakes. ALWAYS keep this in mind. 2020 edit: I'm going on 22 now, and honestly I wish I had the spunk of when I was 17. Hot damn. Also I'm transgender and at the time of writing this, I hadn't come out or even found out that was possible so there's a lot of misgendering of myself that I'm editing. I don't edit usually but I'm sick of people calling me she in the comments. They or he please. 2022: they/them only now please. He/him pronouns are pissing me off lately.

The greatest tragedy the world has ever known turned out to be the ultimate catalyst for change. In the wake of World War III, which decimated most of the world's population, the remaining survivors vowed to not continue to repeat the same mistakes of the past. Fortunately, they had something previous generations did not have - advanced technology. The year is 2117 and this once shattered civilization has become prosperous again. Innovative forms of technology have enabled them to abandon the old model and re-engineer a better way of living for all. Brain implants and genetic modifications have made an entire population educated, healthy, and kind. Despite the benefits of this technology, it has created some unforeseen side effects that threaten humankind's existence. When technology proves to be inept at solving the world's problem, a new hope emerges in the unlikeliest form - a young orphan girl. *** Cyberpunk, dystopian, technology, future, futurism, scifi, heroine, prodigy...

They say in life there are no second chances. But what if you had blown it with the girl of your dreams? What would you do knowing that she was out there, in other realities, realities you hadn't screwed up? That kind of thing could really mess you up... and it could make you do "some crazy." Down-on-his-luck David Blunt is as loser as a loser you can get; recently kicked out of school and fired from his dead end job, David's been squatting in his flop-house apartment, avoiding his landlord and subsisting on stale fortune cookies and cheap street meat for weeks. But when David reads a fortune that predicts an epic future for him, he starts to think that his luck is about to change. Emma Gossett is a spirited world traveler full of wanderlust, and never stays put in one place long enough to form any attachments. Her lovable and eccentric Gran insists this is because she was hidden from the Norns as a babe to keep them from naming Emma's fate, a fable Emma puts little faith in. But when Emma meets David, her faith in reality is shaken to the core. Does this rambling cynical romantic hold the answer to the prevailing sense of déjà vu she's been feeling lately? Or is it just something else, as her new and mysterious and magnetic acquaintance Gabriel insists? Perhaps he holds the key to the mysterious sensations she has felt of living another life alongside her own. All Your Fates is a multiverse mindwarp with supernatural elements that one reader commented: "This story is twisting into ways a pretzel couldn't even try!!"

Nothing could compare to what I was feeling inside . . . Confliction. Envy. Broken pride. I thought that it was inconceivable for me to fall for anyone at first, but he showed me the bright side to everything, even when things were simply impossible. He’s the one who taught me how to laugh and smile in the direst situations . . . and the one who made me fall . . . for him. He was my do or die.
