What if Hiccup never returned to Berk after the battle of Dragon's nest? What if he flew away and build a place where he truly belonged?
Four years ago, in the aftermath of the battle that changed Berk forever, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III vanished beyond the edge of the known world with Toothless at his side.
Berk remembered him as the boy who challenged centuries of tradition and proved that Vikings and dragons did not have to be enemies. But as seasons passed without word or trace of him, hope faded into memory, and memory into legend.
Beyond the familiar waters of the Archipelago, however, lay a far greater world-uncharted seas, forgotten civilizations, warring tribes, and territories where strength determined who survived. It was into this merciless frontier that Hiccup disappeared.
And four years is a long time for a boy to change.
Now, war has come to Berk.
Stoick the Vast prepares his people for a battle they cannot afford to lose, while those who once knew Hiccup are forced to confront a future increasingly defined by his absence.
Then the sky changes.
From beyond the borders of every map Berk has ever known, a new power emerges-vast, disciplined, and unlike anything the Viking world has encountered before.
At its center stands a figure surrounded by rumor.
A ruler whose banners are carried across distant seas.
A warrior spoken of in conquered halls and liberated lands.
A man whose rise has quietly redrawn the balance of power across the world.
And when the paths of Berk and this expanding realm finally collide, old relationships will be tested against new loyalties. Fathers and sons, chiefs and kings, warriors and dragons must confront a difficult truth: the world they once understood no longer exists.
