Alice McCormick is a 16 year old girl who is ridiculed and hated in her Arizona town of Break Thriven, where the people are near-murderous after a seriously traumatic event that happened in the streets of that very town. Soon, Alice begins to see things that people say are not there, she has awful nightmares that are all to real, and her heart stops, with no medical explanation why. This all changes when Alice is put on Landerwon, an alternate, civil war-torn universe. There are no civilians anymore, just the Landerwon Special Forces, and The Resistance.
