#1 Teen Fiction | #1 Young Adult | #1 Romance "We all need someone to drive us mad." - The Wombats. He stared arrogantly down at me, a smirk plastered across his face. I sneered up at him with distaste, wanting to wrap my fingers around his neck and strangle that smirk off of him. He brushed my golden hair from my face, his long, slender fingers sparking electricity in my skin, making my knees wobble together. "Will you ever, forgive me?" he whispered huskily, his eyes intently staring into mine. His face was only mere inches from me. I just needed to reach out a little further to kiss him... "Yeah. Over my dead body." I snapped, before throwing my arms out forcefully, shoving my hands into his chest, pushing him from me. -*-*-*- He, is Carter Williams. I, am Lacey Adams. We were once, inseparable. The 'Golden Couple'. The unbreakable best friends, that everybody envied. Nothing could get between us. A part from being tighter than white on rice, we updated our status from friends to being in a relationship, frequently. We were neighbours, which meant our families were all close and even co-owned houses around our town. This, all is, until the day of my sixteenth birthday. Everything changed. The loving relationship we shared, was severed and torn apart. I couldn't hardly stand to look at him any more, without spitting fire that is. Every day is torture being around him. He was in all my classes at school and the window in my room was even directly aligned with his. So, what happens? My mother's mum gets sick, so dad and her fly out. Just them. Leaving me to stay with Carter and his parents, who are never home. We would be alone. In one house. Under the same roof. If I was insane before, I have no idea what I am now. © 2016 by LaurenJ22. 2012 All Rights Reserved The Taming [Book 1] "I've been more than fair with you, Cassandra. I've given you time and more than enough space..." he paused, releasing a large breath, his heat radiating over my lust filled body. My body was ready and willing to do anything for him, even if my mind wasn't. I couldn't wrap my finger around why I felt this way. I've tried to so hard to hate him. A vicious growl knocked me out of my thoughts. "You want something to hate, darling?" His words slithered out of his very much inviting lips like venom. "I'll give you something." I couldn't put together what he meant until I was being yanked forward, forcefully, and thrown to the ground in a heap. When I looked up at my mate, one side of his mouth quirked up, and he was unbuckling his belt. Cassandra Erikson watched helpless as both of her sisters were lost to her by the Gathering. One sister ran away from it, the other is currently suffering from its outcome. Cassandra is now of age to participate in the Gathering, the annual event in which ten villages come together, having all of the he-wolves and she-wolves who are of age to be sent off into the woods, in hopes of claiming a mate. Cassandra has already found her mate, Gabriel, and she loves him. But wolves can't mate until they are of age, so Cassandra and the love of her life devise a plan to meet up in a secret part of the woods where Gabriel will claim her. She thinks they have it all figured out, for Cassandra refuses to face the fate her sisters had to bear. But, what happens when another male wolf scents Cassandra out in the woods during The Gathering? What happens when he claims her instead of Gabriel? *

Currently being rewritten. Any chapter that has Under Revision in its title has not been touched yet. Post schedule: Sundays + sporadic posts throughout the week Rewritten chapters have added content. A long time ago when I was just a child, my parents stole a large fortune of money from a very powerful man. They spent it on their addictions and debts, thinking they had gotten away with it. But eventually, he found out and forced them to pay him back in yearly installments rather than taking their thieving hands. We paid him as we could, wither it was with money, milk from our cows or cheeses. This had gone on nearly my whole life. But this year...we have nothing to give. When he came walking through our front door I knew my entire world was about to be turned upside down. I stood in the corner of the room staring at him as he addressed my parents. He had this heartless tone when he spoke and his eyes, those vibrant green eyes set a twisting in my gut. "Sir Dominik, I-I.." My father began to panic looking around frantically. We had never missed a payment before. Our last cow had died off, so we had no milk. We were completely out of money and we had nothing valuable to offer. That's when something unexpected happened. Sir Dominik looked straight at me. "I will take her. And your debt is paid."
