Eren Yeager had lived in this town since he was young, he never had a close relationship with his father, and was very stubborn. His adoptive older sister, Mikasa was way too overprotective over him. He's not sure how but Rengoku Kyojuro fell hard for the painfully oblivious and "emotionless" water pillar, Tomioka Giyu. Giyuu was sick not that any of the other pillars knew (or cared, so he thought). He was hit by a blood demon art in the final selection when he saw his best friend die right before his eyes, right when something inside him snapped and Giyuu lost the light in his eyes.
