Dream is a rising figure skater set to become the national champion. Upon messing up and losing the competition, he meets George, a retired figure skater that suffered a life threatening fall. Dream finds out that George has no intention of returning to the ice and hadn't even planned on attending the competition. The two of them instantly butt heads, both being very different, and upon finally meeting his idol, Dream makes it his number one goal to get George back on the ice. This is the cheerleader George, football player Dream au nobody asked for... Clay "Dream" Collins is your average high school football prodigy, popular and charming. Nearly everyone at school is in love with him, most of which is from his own manipulation. George is a new transfer student that became captain of the cheerleading team. He is an optimistic boy who isn't afraid to dress feminine, and while many respect him for this, many judge him. After one eventful night at a party, Dream and George end up alone in a room, with George claiming he won't ever fall for Dream. Dream makes this his goal to change the male cheerleader's mind. George and Clay were just friends, until they weren't . . . Until they were much more. Many people underestimate the affect of mental illness and maybe ignore the signs. When it turns out the two are in deeper than they had expected, they come together. They come together and save eachother. The first day that George and Clay met would be the day that everything would get better, or so they had thought. Nothing can be perfect. Nothing can be okay. Issues come along and hearts are shattered but they have one thing helping them through these difficult times. The one thing being eachother. The two know that they'd never be able to just settle down, like any normal couples; but sometimes not being normal is a good thing. Being normal is boring, so utterly lame. They wanted to be the opposite of that. They wanted to be special. Extraordinary. They wanted to be better than that . . . at first.
