Hermione, Ginny y Luna cursan su séptimo año después de la guerra en Hogwarts. Cuando Draco y Hermione se topan en un lugar en el que ninguno de los dos debería de estar, comienza un forcejeo dónde la Griffyndor da pelea, pero después de algunos roces Malfoy confunde la situación con algo más. Al principio solo es ese primer encuentro, pero parece que el destino quiere que se encuentren en cada pasillo, aula y armario vacío de Hogwarts. Poco a poco Hermione se da cuenta de que dentro de la oscuridad hay pequeños atisbos de luz, y Draco entiende que su vida no tiene que estar atada a la oscuridad, cómo creía. *** Ese fue su primer error, porque chocó con el pecho de Draco. Su segundo error fue quedarse estática, era cómo si ella perdiera su movilidad estando cerca de él. Malfoy no perdió tiempo, aprovechó los segundos de confusión de la castaña para deslizar sus manos sobre las de ella. Con un solo movimiento las llevó sobre su cabeza. - No quiero varitas hoy Granger. - Y yo quiero que me sueltes. - Eso no sería divertido. La llevó contra la pared. Malfoy dejó caer sus manos, liberándola, pero no se apartó de ella. - Eres tan aburrida. - Entonces ya déjame en paz. - No entiendes, lo que tú me provocas... ***

Hermione tomo una decisión, ella iba a conquistar a Draco Malfoy, le iba a demostrar que no era necesario hacer todo lo que sus padres querían para ser feliz, y lo primero que haría era cambiar su look, mañana era domingo así que le pediría ayuda a Ginny. Draco Malfoy será mío pensó la castaña antes de cerrar su ventana y dormir.

Hermione sirve en la Mansión Malfoy después de que se perdiera la guerra. En su sombría existencia, se las arregla para encontrar formas de sobrellevarlo.

Estaba sentado al lado del fuego. Contemplándolo. Aun así, hacía mucho frio. La mansión Malfoy era demasiado grande para calentarse con una sola chimenea. Blaise was an amusing man; she threw her head back in laughter when a voice of sultry steel cut through the moment. The voice drawled, "Mate, do you mind if I cut in?" Blaise smirked and stepped back, "Sure Drake, but up to the lady though." Her tongue darted out to moisture the dryness of her bottom lip. Draco eyed her with growing interest and offered his hand. Without a moment's hesitation, Hermione let out a small laugh and took it. "Fucking cock block," Hermione heard Blaise hiss as he moved past them, and Draco hid a laugh. She felt his fingertips dancing across her skin. She leaned into his touch. He boldly looked into her eyes, "Well...look at you, Granger." Hermione refused to back down, "I saw you looking Malfoy, are you intrigued or surprised by what you see?" Draco smirked, "Never surprised where you are concerned. You were always pretty but tonight you're stunning." Hermione cocked her head to the side and asked, "How is Astoria?" He let out a laugh, "Low blow, Granger, she is in Australia with her sister." Her eyes travelled up his corded neck and settled on his luscious lips, "Ah...that would explain your boldness?"

"What?" He asked, his brows furrowed together in question. "You don't think i'm your girlfriend?" I asked, cold rage seeping through my voice. His eyes widened as if he was just now realizing what he said and he gulped, shooting a nervous look at Blaise. "Well, uhh.." He tried to form words, rubbing the back of his neck like he does when he's nervous. "I mean I know we are dating and all but we just never defined anything.." He trails off.
