Austin ist verzweifelt, auf Kriegsfuß mit seiner Mutter und zu von ihr persönlich zugestellten Sozialstunden auf einer Krankenhausstation, die sich mit Suizidgefährdeten und Magesüchtigen beschäftigt, verdammt. Er wird konfrontiert mit Personen, die definitiv anders sind als er. Glaubt er zumindest. Mit der Zeit lernt er, dass verschiedene Hintergründe den Menschen machen und versteht die Patienten, die er vielleicht schon als gute Bekannte einordnen würde. Besonders Savannah, die das komplette Gegenteil von ihm zu sein scheint, bekommt er nicht mehr aus dem Kopf.

Eine Entführung ist ein Schicksalschlag ins Leben auf welchen man auch verzichten könnte. Doch, durch eine Entführung in eine gefährliche Welt verwickelt zu werden, mag noch schlimmer klingen. Eine Welt dessen Namen die Menschen nicht in den Mund nahmen, aus Angst und Furcht vor ihr. Kann ein so zierliches Mädchen wie sie es war überhaupt noch überleben, war sie einmal hineingeraten? Hineingeraten in eine grausame und kalte Welt. Hineingeraten in eine Welt voller Drogen, Waffen und Geld.
