Yin Anan Wong was in his grandfather's study when the lawyer called him in. The room smelled faintly of old leather and polished wood - a scent that always reminded Yin of the man he had loved dearly.
"Yin," the lawyer said carefully, placing a sealed envelope on the desk, "this is regarding your grandfather's last will."
Yin's heart skipped. He had expected wealth, stocks, maybe the marketing firm... but nothing like this.
The envelope contained a handwritten letter from his grandfather, addressed to him:
"Yin, my life was saved by a brave man, Li. His grandson, War, must be honored for this. I ask you... marry him. Keep it discreet, but fulfill this promise as a mark of respect, of gratitude, of family honor. - Grandpa Wong"
Yin stared at the words, blinking. His chest tightened. He loved his grandfather, and he couldn't refuse, no matter how awkward or impossible it seemed.
