**This was a Featured Wattpad Story** One, two, three, four; I declare a suit war. In a parallel universe known as Drac, the four kingdoms (called suits) have been at war for centuries. Each suit (Spades, Clubs, Diamonds, and Hearts) is made up of a playing card hierarchy that is ruled by the King, Queen, and Jack, and every subject is born with their suit and number imprinted on the back of their neck. The number (a rounded-up average of their parents' numbers that is between two and ten) is based off their ancestors' loyalty to the Crown. There is, however, one randomly selected person in each suit that is born with an A (the symbol of the Ace) on their neck, making them the societal outcast. It is forbidden for the four aces of Drac to ever come together, because there is a myth that if all four of them join hands, they can set off an explosion that will kill all living beings except for themselves. Regardless, the Ace of Hearts, thirteen-year-old Celia Rumer, decides to try her luck in rallying the aces together after the King of Hearts suddenly commits suicide. She hopes that the threat of the four aces banding together will bring an end to the suit war, but will she be able to find the other aces without facing dire consequences of breaking the law? © Copyright - 2016 - All rights reserved. "Trouble is my middle name." ~ Lillian Nightshade is a metaphorical rock in SHIELD's boot, one that not only has a mouth snarkier and more sarcastic than the hypothetical (and entirely impossible) baby of Tony Stark and Deadpool, but has a certain knack for slipping from the authorities' grasp on a regular basis. She's arrogant, she's witty, she's satirical, she's immature and she's one of the best damn assassins in the industry. Steve Rogers is the hero every man wants to be. He has a strong sense of duty, honour, dignity and humility, with old fashioned, idealistic goals that would make the world a better place. Some - namely Stark - would call him a stick in the mud and make a mockery of him by pinning him with obscene names like 'Fourth of July Stripper' or 'Walking Flagpole', but in the end, he's America's sweetheart with a golden legacy that will last for generations. So it's only natural that the two complete opposites - who are also each other's enemies- to clash the moment they meet one another, yes? Filled with action, revenge, old adversaries, humour and of course the lovely drizzle of a bipolar romance, this is the story of how a narcissistic assassin falls for one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Her enemy. BOOK ONE OF THE NIGHTINGALE CHRONICLES WINNER OF MARVEL FANFICTION AWARDS 2016 IN FOLLOWING CATEGORIES: #1 Female Villain - Lillian Nightshade Best Female Antihero- Lillian Nightshade Most Motivational Character - Allison Renegade Best Developed Character - Lillian Nightshade Highest number on Fanfiction is #6 **UNDER EDITING AND CONSTRUCTION** ** I do not own any Marvel or comic characters. I only own Lillian Nightshade, the plot and some other characters that may appear later on in the story. The rest of the rights are reserved to Marvel and DC comics.

NOTE: THIS BOOK IS DISCONTINUED Sequel to Burn and America. I suggest reading the first book before the second, because you will most likely not understand some of the references without the prior knowledge from the first book. Its been a month since Freya's disappearance, and everyone, including the other Avengers, are not so subtly trying to get Steve to move on. Steve still remains hopeful that she'll come out alive. But not everybody shares in his intense, almost obsessive, faith in her survival. And far, far away from the Avengers, a determined woman races through hall after hall of nightmarish trials, desiring only to be home and with her loved ones once again. In the sequel to Burn and America, An Avengers/Captain America FanFic, the embers of a raging war are starting to catch fire, unlikely and dysfunctional allies band together, and everyone comes to the same conclusion that to fight and overcome the fires of a new war, the Avengers will need their Lady of Fire and Burns. The Avengers are needed once more to save the world from the seasoned war criminal, Loki Laufeyson. But Loki has come prepared this time. He recruits two seemingly random people to help lead his army, and the Avengers are forced to hire a new recruit. The new recruit, Freya Taschereau, is kind and gentle, but extremely powerful and dangerous when angered. I don't own any of the characters except for Freya and a few others in the book. I like to keep the story and characters alive. Its just who I am. :) Enjoy!!

THIS STORY AND A MAJORITY OF THE CHARACTERS ARE MY PERSONAL BRAIN CHILDREN. THEY ARE WORKED INTO A WORLD I MYSELF DID NOT CREATE. LARRY HAMA, MARVEL COMICS, AND HASBRO HOLD ALL RIGHTS TO THEIR CHARACTERS I'M BORROWING THEM TO WRITE THIS BOOK. The name is Maverick, but that's not my only name. I was orphaned as an infant. All I have from my real parents is a silver ring with an oval sapphire centered between two small diamonds on a military-grade dog tag chain that I haven't let out of my sight or from around my neck once in my life. The only place I really remember living is in Melbourne, Florida, a place as well-known as Washington D.C. but with not as many politicians and a lot more secrets. I've never been anywhere else, never had a reason to before now. When my mom, I think of Jane as nothing else but that, got a call from I don't know who everything that was my life fell to the floor and shattered as I boarded a plane to go live with my aunt Heidi, uncle Ben, and my cousins Mark and Lisa. This is where my comparison comes in because where else besides a townhouse in the middle of the United States capital would two of the best real estate agents live. Aunt Heidi is reigning queen of the uptown while Uncle Ben dominates the downtown market. Mark, an awesome dude to hang out with, earns his nicknames Shakespeare and Twain for obviously being a writer and quoting his idols regularly once or twice each. Lisa is the greatest friend I've ever had, a talented artist, and the only person who is allowed to call me Gray. So, in my book the Mallards were an all-around cool family with their own individual quirks. I was supposed to only stay a few months, that's what Jane told me, but it's been years. I'm getting really worried about Mom.
