A Zuko X Reader story. As always, I wrote this for myself but you can read it, too, if you'd like. Y/N was an air bender, she was tasked with watching over the avatar as a punishment for something that she had done; something that the air nomads frowned upon her for. When she discovered what had become of her people, she was furious- but not at the Fire Nation, she was furious at Aang, because Aang was supposed to protect them, and he didn't. But was it Aang that she was really angry at?

I looked at him as if surprised by his stupidity, "because I do not particularly like cold tea." A laugh followed my statement and we both turned to Iroh, "you see, Prince Zuko. Xia knows that there are times to march forward, but there are also times to take a step back." "What does that even mean?" Zuko asked furiously. "It means that I take time to think," I replied gently. "Now, why don't we go and continue your quest for the Avatar?" *I update by book. So the first thirteen chapters are book one. I remember meeting Prince Zuko very early in my life. He was different back then. For one, he had no scar on his face. But he was also still a sweet little boy. He was still that person somewhere on the inside, but the scar was a visual reminder of the changes he had undergone both physically and mentally. There was no doubt he was lost.
