When sixteen-year-old Violet and her brother Jason move into their late grandmother's crumbling house, they expect cobwebs and creaky floorboards-not a padlocked attic stuffed with boxes that hum like they remember.
While cleaning, they break open a dusty old crate mislabeled "Tax Records - 1940s"-and find photographs.
Black-and-white. Blurred at the edges.
Smiling teens in costumes that shouldn't exist. A ballerina with empty eyes. A jester with a smile too wide. A boy handing out tickets with frostbitten hands. And their grandmother, alive and laughing, surrounded by performers long dead.
Everyone in the photo died in this town.
All of them were labeled accidents. Suicides. Unexplained disappearances.
But the stories never lined up.
Now, with the circus returning for the first time in decades, the truth starts to crawl back up through the floorboards. Violet and Jason must uncover how their grandmother was connected to the cursed performers... and why their deaths were only the beginning.
Because the circus doesn't just haunt the town.
It feeds on it.
And this time, it's hungry.
