Somewhere, deep in space, there is a very small planet with only two intelligent beings on it. For as long as he could remember, Keith couldn't touch any living being. The second his skin made contact with it, it would die. He always thought he was alone. Lance is living the life, literally. He gives life to everything he touches, in more ways than one. At the age of four, Katsuki was cast aside by his parents and forced into the foster system because he was cursed with an unfortunate Quirk-Explosion-which happens to have negative connotations to it due to a villain in the past. His parents aren't the only ones who rejected him because of it, though; he's grown up without friends, with teachers and peers looking at him in fear no matter how hard they tried to hide it, and while he'd like to say he enjoyed being so lonely, that wasn't the case. Fortunately (though he might say otherwise if you asked, at least at first), one set of bright red eyes somehow managed to see past his Quirk and his rather abrasive attitude and can relate to him on a level he never expected. Years in the future, however, things aren't all sunshine and rainbows-in fact, they're far from it. Katsuki knows this, and no longer can he allow himself to drag the only person he's ever truly cared about through the mud with him.

From around the age of ten, most people naturally gained the ability to be able to talk to their soulmate through their minds. They couldn't send things like their first names through, or anything that could directly connect to their identities. However, two young boys gain their ability to speak to each other from the early age of six. It had never been heard of before, soulmates able to connect this early. It showed how the two boys must've had something so much stronger than others. The fateful day comes, a new school year bringing new students with it.
