(Max is 13 and Neil is 14 in this fanfic! Also, I have no ownership of Camp Camp!) What if, in the episode Mind Freakers, instead of Neil being obsessed over Harrison's magic trick and how he could do it, he was actually worried about Max rather than the magic trick? I'll tell you what would happen-- Maxeil/Nax would become sO CANON- *ahem* Anyway, a whole new story would unwind, and the two would fall in love. The problem is, Max is incredibly dense, since he never loved anyone romantically before (He used to love his parents, but let's not get into that... yet). So, Max tries his best to understand /why/ he feels so happy around Neil, or the knot in his chest when he sees Tabbii fawning over Neil. It's time for Max to learn How to Love Someone.

What that meant was kill people by poisoning them or ship them off to his compound so they can be converted into a leader just like him. Daniel had been doing this all his life, and this was all he knew. Until he stumbled upon a camp called Camp Campbell, where something changed, something that would have an effect on his entire life.

David tried not to remember the horrible things that the kids had claimed Daniel had done. Deep down, he knew what was going on, he wasn't THAT stupid to not pick out the obvious fact that Daniel wasn't exactly what could be labeled a 'good person'. David always was the one to try and see the best in people though, so David took upon the thought that maybe Daniel could be changed. That being said, instead of leaving things off the way they had ended with Daniel going to the hospital, David made sure to write him nearly every day, occassionally sending flowers as well. When he found out his letter's were no longer being sent, he got worried. He wanted to help Daniel, and maybe the letters were doing just that. But how was he supposed to do that when he didn't even know where Danial was? But before David has too much time to worry, a certain someone shows up at the camp. And let's just say... David finds himself a bit more tangled up with the blonde haired letter reciever than he ever thought he would be.

"What the hell am I going to do, Nikki?!" Neil yelled as soon as the phone call ended. He was freaking out because Max was coming over and was probably going to ask why they were hanging out without him. "We can just tell him you were tutoring me on our upcoming math test!" Nikki suggested, slightly freaking out as well. The ocean-eyed boy thought for a moment. "Okay, we can tell him that. Just please don't tell anyone the things we talked about at the park," Neil begged, not wanting anyone to know about his secrets. "Did you really think I was going to? Of course I won't tell anyone. But is it okay if Max knows?" Nikki asked without thinking. Neil gave her a surprised look. "What?! No! He can't know that I like h-" "Guys?"
