Hazel, Mia, and Dani live on the big island of Hawaii. There are many small planes there, so for fun they decide to take a ride in one. Their parents set it up and they take off. What they didn't expect was what happened after that. The plane crashes on an uncharted and deserted island and they are left on their own to survive.

Avery has been to quite a few foster homes throughout her life. She thinks that this one will be the same as all the others, and in no time she'll be moving out and on to the next one. But when she meets a certain boy, her perspective on everything changes. When this boy tries to bring out the best in her, will she let him in and learn to trust him?
