There is nothing worse for a pirate than dying on dry land. Except, maybe, swinging two feet above it. When their captain is imprisoned, facing the gallows, the men and women of the Lady Lesya's crew will try everything to break him out--even if it means fighting guards in ridiculous uniforms, bargaining with overweight monsters, and risking the life of the more or less innocent. Add vengeful local thugs, a mysterious killer with a grudge, and some unexpected ghosts to this already perilous task, and the streets of Puerto Seguro turn into a bloodbath. To get out of the town alive, the brethren of the coast will have to act not just as a crew, but as a family. ___________________ As it's a pirate story not created by Disney, expect strong language, violence, gore, and allusion to sex. But also humor, strong characters, and a touch of love. The story, three years and a half in the making, is now complete (and under revision). ____________________ Magnificent cover by @Tweeter109 Awesome headers by @FayLane

Those who were taken... They never came back, dragged beneath the waves never to return. Their haunting screams were a symbol of their horrific deaths. Like shadows they lay in wait, the deep blue waters hiding them from view. With sharp claws they attack, Pointed fangs tearing into skin, Eager mouths devouring human flesh. Cally was taken, dragged under the water by one of the vicious creatures. But she was not devoured nor torn apart by ruthless claws--no. She was a captive. ~•~ Water instantly invades her senses. Her eyes sting, her lungs and nose burning. She thrashes, kicks, claws--anything to get away. Her efforts go to waste as her body slowly starts to shut down, the air in her lungs quickly being replaced by sea water. Cally is vaguely aware of arms wrapping around her waist and behind her head before she loses consciousness, submerged in darkness. And so she is taken. Another victim of the mysterious sea. 《Completed》 Subscribe to TheAllieL Patreon for exclusive stories and content not featured on Wattpad and to support future works and book publishing! - Free Subscriber Tier - Allie's Library - Tier 1 - $2/month - Allie's Journal - Tier 2 - $5/month Subscribe here: Patreon.com/TheAllieL

"How dare you bring me aboard this ship without so much as telling me what you are?" She yelled. Kincade let out a smug grin, one that infuriated Astryd even more. She took a few more steps toward him so that they were mere feet apart. He looked down at a doubloon he was holding and slowly turned it over in his hands as he spoke. "I saw a troubled woman in a sailor's pub, obviously hiding from the royal guards. Surely you must have gotten yourself into a sticky situation. And you don't expect me to assume what you are?" Astryd fumbled for words. What was he getting at? He lifted his head to look her in the eyes. "You're a thief and now a sailor. You know what that makes you, sweetheart?" "I am not a..." she shouted, but she stumbled at the last word. She pointed her finger in Kincade's face and whispered, "pirate." -------------------------------------------- I would like to acknowledge Thompson Editing Services, who is responsible for being my editor and proofreader for this book as well as an amazing writing mentor. (EDITORS PICK) In the bloody, ruthless, and decidedly uncouth world of 17th century pirates, can a woman deceive even those closest to her and survive? Bronte is forced to make some tough decisions about her life and livelihood at far too tender an age in a time and place when options for women are few. Port Royal, Jamaica, in the 17th century is only a good place to be if you're a pirate. And so, a pirate she is. A pirate's life is precarious enough without the added burden of hiding one's sex. But, if she is to survive, hide it she must. Lucien's father wishes him to take over the family merchant business but Lucien feels God has a different path; he longs to use his medical knowledge to help the less fortunate in the Caribbean. Just as he is about to embark on his God-given task, a certain pirate spoils his plans. Is he wrong about the path God has for him? Lucien is forced to work for his father and delay his plans until he can hunt down the pirate who thwarted him. He is sure he's a match for anything the pirates dish out but soon realizes he's gotten more than he bargained for and it just may cost him his life... ⭐️ Featured in Editors Pick 9/2020 Cover by @Azanthiel

Abbie has never been what one would call a typical lady. Trying to keep up with England's rich and powerful is far too much work, and Abbie has never enjoyed the endless games of chasing acknowledgement form her peers. When she's engaged rather unwillingly to the wealthiest lord in London, she knows without a doubt it will be the worst thing she'll ever face. So what does she do? She runs. Finn has been roaming the seas as a pirate aboard The Iron Lady for ten years. Since the death of his father, he's been pirating to provide for his mother, sister, and her two children--all the while unbeknownst to them. While there have been a number of heists that have ended favorably, their poor condition has changed little. Finn wearies of life at sea, and begins thinking about leaving the business to return home to Ireland for good. When he kidnaps a businessman's teenage daughter, he is absolutely certain that the ransom payoff will be the one to end his career as a pirate. Abbie has always thought that pirates are uneducated, cruel, and just plain terrible company. Finn is certain that rich girls are snobby and selfish and is dreading spending any time with one aboard the ship. But when their journey together begins, they find that their expectations might be entirely incorrect. With the voyage of The Iron Lady spanning the globe from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, from the Iberian Peninsula to England, neither lady nor pirate will be able to resist the adventure--and romance--that will come along with it.
