2021 and 2022 Editor's Picks Cover by : @Guinealove2005 Matthew, an orphaned safe-cracking wiz of a boy, is being held prisoner in an old folk's home where he is forced to counterfeit money. However, on a stormy night, Matthew is rescued by a crime-fighting troupe of child chimney sweeps and is swept away to the big city of Spring Heights to live on a half-sunken boat. In the city, Matthew is introduced to other orphaned children who live on the streets, cleans chimneys with his new family, flees for his life across rooftops, rescues other children and tries to find out the whereabouts of a mean woman connected to his incarceration at the old folk's home. He also races carts down a hill, a popular pastime of the street children of Spring Heights, where not dying or getting injured is a good outcome. ***Official Wattpad Reading Lists featured in: Superhero -- February reading list Adventure -- Middle-grade reading list Undiscovered Stories -- Thrill Seekers reading list Wattpad Urban -- Urban Fantasy reading list Children's Fiction -- Age 10 - 12 English Crime -- Kicking Ass &Taking Names Fantasy -- Middle Grade and Children's Fantasy Fantasy -- Featured Fantasy Stories Action -- Adventure in Action General Fiction -- Live Life While You Can Superhero -- No Power, No Problem

"You have been sentenced to life in prison. Your ship will leave tomorrow for the island. Gather your things." When you've been decided a criminal, you're a criminal. There are no ifs, ands, or buts; whether you did the crime or not. Courts and juries are no longer used. If the authorities think you've done it, there's nothing anyone can do about your impending sentence. Being sent to the island is devastating, no matter how long you have to be there. No contact with the outside world, no way to reach your loved ones. It might be set up to appear more humane, more free than prisons of the past, but looks can be deceiving. On the way to the island, the huge prison ship begins to sink. There's no reason for it. Not from a storm, not from an iceberg. The ship just goes down. It's up to the remaining eleven survivors to discover why, and make sure they stay alive while doing so. * * * * * * * * * * Accomplishments: Featured! #37 in Sci-fi #1 in #BreakStereotypes * * * * * * * * * * * The gorgeous (and royalty free!) cover for this book was made by @CosmicGraphics Book started during #NaNoWriMo2016 and will be finished in 2017 Note: This book is published on WATTPAD ONLY! [Highest rank so far: #46 in short story] "It didn't matter that I was getting all A's on my report card. It didn't matter that I could read a book in less than two days. It didn't matter that I could perfect oil painting techniques. It didn't matter that I had a healthy diet and tried my best to exercise. None of it mattered. Simply because I had one unwanted characteristic called fat." *** This is one girl's story. From her point of view. No exaggerations, no extra, no lies, no holding back this time. When she looks in the mirror she sees nothing but her failure. She hears nothing but the ear shattering sound of opinions from everyone. Everything is targeted to her. Everything is wrong with her. WARNING: This story contains a view of the mind of one insecure female. This focuses on body image and shaming and touches upon topics of eating disorders.
