She teasingly traced the outline of his jaw with her finger, a smirk playing on her lips. Lysander gulped, feeling his heart thumping against his chest at their close proximity. She stood on her toes and whispered in his ear. "You can't play games with the girl who made the rules." +++ Zena Adams, aka the well known queen of Hilltop high. The girl who simply rolls her eyes and runs head first in to troubles. She's the perfect image of strength, beauty, talent, authority and power. Burdened by her past, she keeps herself away from the others, her social relationships limited to her group of best friends. And the outside world know her as the cold hearted queen who do not think twice to fight for what she want. But things change when he enters in to her life like a freaking tornado! Lysander Dunbar, her brother's and now hers, arch nemesis, a reckless guy who gets what he wants. And once their paths crosses, the only idea that pops up in her mind is payback. But she never thought a simple game would turn out to be a war neither could win. Cause as stubborn as she is, he is reckless. A possible future in less than 500 words, if plastic wins. This was my entry for the WattPad/National Geographic #PlanetOrPlastic competition back in late 2018. It reached their Top 10 Submissions which, given that there appeared to be well over 5000 entries, was a very pleasant surprise! The competition itself had a limit of 500 words so, for those who keep asking if I intend continuing the story, the answer (for now!) is no - unless I can find a very good reason for adding any more. Many thanks to everyone reading and voting on this story and getting it to number 1 in the #sciencefiction category in May/June 2020!
