Steve Rogers was the hero. History books said he was the bravest, most courageous man ever to walk this earth. His role was to protect the world, help people, save lives. But the job description said nothing about falling for the villain, and his life takes an unexpected turn when he does just that. But nothing has ever been what it seems for Steve Rogers, there may be more lurking beneath the surface than he first anticipated.

When Agent Alessandra Kennedy is put forward for SHIELD's new super solider programme, she of all people knows that she hasn't a hope in hell of being the one to receive the serum at the end. Only the Agent who shows the most potential will have that honour, and she is anything but promising. Enduring gruelling training, early morning roll calls, and being laughed at by the other candidates - Alessandra is determined to get as far as she can, but things are never easy - especially when Captain America himself is less than impressed with her efforts, and just her in general. As Alessandra tries to please the Captain, it seems nothing will ever change his opinion of her despite the obvious tension between them both... When independent assassin Aster Hart is sent by General Ross to find and ultimately dispose of newly declared fugitive Steve Rogers, she begins to question to herself just why the US government would want him dead rather than alive and in custody. With her assassination attempt on him failing, Steve gives Aster a choice. Either join him on the run and redeem herself, or die trying to leave. The choice is obvious, and the pair soon become closer after their frosty introduction. During this time Aster and Steve do their own digging and discover that Ross is biting off more than he can chew. His allegiances lie with the enemy than to his country, and now it's down to them to stop him. Warning 18+ - Contains swearing, mature themes and eventual smut.
