❀「sakusa never liked fireworks. they were noisy and bright, dangerous, even. so why did atsumu like them so much?」 ◆ ◆ ◆ ❀ i decided i wanted to write some haikyuu angst, since a lot of other people are doing it. this is heavily inspired by "in another life" and "the galaxy is endless(i thought we were, too)" on ao3. basically, atsumu has a rare brain disorder called creutzfeldt-jakob disease. the condition causes personality changes, anxiety, memory loss, leads to dementia, and eventually, death. most patients with cjd die 6 to 12 months after developing symptoms. im really new to writing so this is gonna be horrible, but ill try! ❀

Reading In Another Life a week ago, I felt empty. After rewatching Cloud Atlas I realised why that was. The story needs to end. And death is not an end, but a door.
