Battle for Dream Island: Official Character Guide is an American children's book published by Scholastic in 2019 and is BFDI's first published book. It was first discovered in Scholastic's book flyers in the end of August to the beginning of September 2019, and was officially confirmed by Michael Huang[1] and Satomi Hinatsu[2] on the same day. The book was written by Satomi, Cary Huang, and a Scholastic employee. It is currently not available outside of the United States and is only available in English and Spanish.

When Four and X mysteriously disappear, it is up to Firey to lead his fellow contestants to find Dream Island. When finally finding Dream Island, Firey becomes the king and takes advantage of the power he was given. This story starts with a boy from Yokohama in Japan, called Firey ???, (we don't know his last name) who has psychic abilities and COULD be the only person(?) to have so. However, there is a problem with this: he... wants to live a normal life. Nothing satisfies him, whether if it's romance, fame or eating 32 kilograms of nachos in one sitting, nothing does it for him BUT one thing: being ABSOLUTELY normal and ONLY normal. However, he has terrible luck, so of course, everything he wants; he will never get it. Many different adventures and conflicts follow this world, filled with dumb people, and... nothing else, basically. Oh, and a Japanese Idol named Leafy who is wayyy too interested in him. They encounter things like sea monsters, a tribe of other objects, and maybe even love!
