***EDIT: 9/3/21 - Chapters 12 on will have some modifications to them. Took a break due to juggling some life things and also just knowing I would have to restructure some chapters. Blackshore didn't feel fleshed out, which this edits will fix. Changes in 12 are small, most of what's changed in 13 is at the beginning before the dinner (and a small line change between V and E conversation), and then 14 is brand new. A world map has also been added to the top of Chapter 9; you can open the image in a new tab and see it in better detail. After the last Guardian has gone, the magic world of Novarus enters a new era. No longer feeling the need for the Guardians and their protection, the kings and queens of the land lead their people into prosperity and ready their children to take their place. Arthur and Chloe Greyfire, children of the kind king of Greywall, are the future of the kingdom, and at their sides are their friends, the Northwind children, all odd in their own way. But a curse falls upon the young princess, Chloe, and she is outcast. As she tries to understand her curse, darkness spreads across the land, and only she can fight back against it. Will this new curse prove to be the origin of doom for all of Novarus? Or will it be a savior for all?

Myths and legends, folk and fairy tales were likely the first stories told, part of verbal lore passed down from generation to generation. Bards and minstrels at court and manor, inns and taverns, sang ballads and odes to entertain and enlighten. Rhyme and rhythm made their way into everyday life, enriching our experience with words, stories, beauty, and drama. To this day, lyrical poetry can evoke emotions and sensations that transcend cultures, place and time. Fantasy Romance is a collection of fantasy-themed poems, teeming with mythological characters and fantastical creatures, designed to transport you to other times and otherworlds. Here, gods and goddesses, mages and monsters, witches and warlocks, sprites, wights and nixies hold sway, and sometimes ordinary people become embroiled in extraordinary circumstances...

Origin of the word "Inspire" - Middle English "enspire", from Old French "inspirer", from Latin "inspirare" - 'breathe or blow into' ('in' = 'into' + 'spirare' = 'breathe'). The word was originally used of a divine or supernatural being, in the sense of 'imparting a truth or idea to someone'. There is a connection with the word "spirit" which comes from the Latin word for breath - "spiritus", which is also from 'spirare'. Spirit : - the activating or essential principle influencing a person - an inclination, impulse, or tendency of a specified kind : mood - a special attitude or frame of mind - the feeling, quality, or disposition characterizing something undertaken e.g. in a spirit of fun We're all inspired by one another. Fanfic and Fanart are prime examples of work that is inspired. Here you can find my poems that were inspired by other artists' work, e.g. paintings by fantasy artist extraordinaire, Stephanie Law, and the artists on deviantart. I look at their paintings, take in all the details, and weave them into poem-stories. I do the same with music too. Some music can have a very strong vibe or mood, and conjure up images in my head. This happened with the music composed by pianist, Guste Galuskinaite, which resulted in the poems A Frosty Morning and Dance in a Dream. Hope you enjoy reading these poems as much as I enjoyed writing them!
