"It hurts, doesn't it," George muttered quietly, his voice drifting slowly through the air as he sat beside Dream, eyes cast up towards the starry night sky. Dream turned his head just enough to take in the side of George's face, eyes searching questioningly as he said, "what hurts?" He saw the corner of George's mouth tick slightly, heard him exhale a quick breath before his head turned, eyes dropping to meet Dream's as he quietly answered, "it hurts being in love with someone who doesn't love you back."
