They write letters to each other and one day, their fathers want all of them to meet. When their fathers are discovered, then they are forbidden to be together. Theodosia and Philip meet in secret and stay together.

The two never properly introducing themselves refer to one another as Angel and Ace. When they accidently discover whom one another is, Philip tells Theodosia of his forced marriage to a woman he doesn't love. They make an arrangement. She wants to stay that way, because she knows she has to protect her Father's legacy. She thinks all she can do is wait and see which way the wind will blow. Will Phillip convince her otherwise? Or will their relationship be broken by legacy?
