Finch has been in the refuge for years, making friends where she can and trying to survive on little to no food and a beating almost every day. It's not the best 'home', you can't even really call it that, but at least she's not alone. However, when her best friend gets sick, she soon finds herself escaping the refuge to find medicine, making new friends, and joining a strike. Will she make it through this crazy new experience? [ I made the really bad cover btw and I don't own Newsies but my OCs and some of the plot in this story is mine. In the original movie and musical, Crutchie is taken to the refuge and isn't seen much until the end. Yes, this is another one of those stories. He's taken to the refuge, meets a girl, blah blah blah most predictable plot ever. I'll try to make it interesting.
