Iris Black struggled her whole life to put up a strong front for her sisters. Their parents and older sister had always been a lot meaner to Iris than Andromeda and Narcissa and as the years went by, the toll it took on her only grew. Iris' only escape and comfort growing up was when the triplet was together, spending carefree -𝑝𝑎𝑖𝑛 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝑒- time with each other. As she gets older, the pain becomes unbearable and she begins to feel herself drifting further away from her siblings. So, she turns to the next closest comfort she can find, which just so happens to be one of the most harmful. Remus Lupin struggled with being a werewolf ever since when he became one at the age of four. His friends were the only people he truest with the knowledge other than his parents, but even with them, he feels lonely, like he doesn't belong. He too looks for a new comfort, unknowingly finding the same one as Iris Black. When he notices her in their later years at Hogwarts, he realizes he may not be as alone as he thought he was. ~on hold~ As a young girl, Dahlia lost both of her parents in an accident. Two years later, she got adopted by Sarah and David White. The two adult Whites were pure blood Slytherins, and also one of the richest wizard families in the world. Her best friend, Remus, lived next door to her since she was adopted until they turned eleven, the two being heartbroken when they realized they would be going to different schools. They haven't seen each other since, but they write each other weekly. There isn't much that the two best friends don't know about each other, and they think of one another more like siblings. Remus even told Dahlia about the werewolf thing. But, the one thing that Dahlia hasn't shared with him, is what her home life is like. And she never plans to. Growing up, Dahlia helped Remus when he transformed into his werewolf state, as she was an animagus herself. When Dahlia gets kicked out of Beauxbatons at the end of her fourth year, her adopted parents speak with Dumbledore, enrolling her at Hogwarts. She is ecstatic to not only get away from her adopted parents once more, but to be able to go to the same school as her childhood best friend. After arriving at Hogwarts, Dahlia is almost immediately welcomed into his friend group, even receiving a new nickname herself. Reluctantly opening herself up to one of the Marauders, she forms an unexpected bond that no one expected to see.
