An au which the mastermind is Ishimaru instead of Junko. Mondo is alive as well but he was shocked when he found out that Ishimaru was the mastermind.

(This is an alternate universe where Ishimaru killed Chihiro instead of Mondo, which is why Ishimaru is presumed dead by execution and Mondo is alive with the other survivors, so I'm completely aware that it is not 100% accurate.)
