She's also an elf, and if that's not bad enough, she's expected to rule over Alfheim when her Mother croaks it. In order to sort her out, her parents decide to send her through a portal to the human world, where she has to manage with no magic, actual relationships and gym class. Diana Miller is schizophrenic...or at least she thinks so. She has never been clinically diagnosed because her father believes that mental illness is demon possession, and she knows he would never take her to a psychiatrist. To cope with her inner confusion, she reaches out to others, hoping they'll help make sense of it all--but she only ends up confusing them as well. After years of struggling to separate fantasy from reality in her fictional prose, she finally resorts to writing poetry. This is her collection of poems--read at the risk of your own sanity.

Spoken word and page poetry that I have written between 2008 to early 2012. My production has been slow, so I named this compilation "Flashbacks" as a way to showcase some of my favorite pieces written, some which are still drafts. I am also using this to get myself back into the groove of writing because it is my passion.
