[1/3] Of the Out of Time Series What would you do if you had been thrust into a different world with different rules and creatures, and there's no way home? Ashley Hale was a hard-working University student trying to make something of herself, until one night, everything changed. She woke in a new world that she didn't understand. Although she is welcomed, it isn't home. Ashley only has one chance to return home, but it means working with a company of dwarves. Thorin Oakenshield infuriates Ashley beyond imagining, as her presence agitates Thorin. They must work together to both return to their true homes. As differences are set aside to achieve a common goal, the two learn they may have more in common than they realise. Meanwhile, Ashley's new gift of sight shows her growing darkness in Middle Earth. Ashley begins to wonder if there's more at play than just reclaiming the Lonely Mountain and as a result, returning home doesn't seem so easy.

"In her eyes, the sadness sings of one who was destined for greater things." [Lang Leav] Davina Roswell was the forgotten princess of an otherwise-extinct race. She had became a wanderer over the years, until Gandalf approached her about a dwarfish quest to reclaim Erebor and reminded her about the prophecy fortold of the Nymali Viator. Although reluctant, and annoyed with Gandalf's insisting that her powers were a blessing instead of the curse she viewed them to be, Davina joins the expedition. Immediately upon meeting, she and Thorin Oakenshield are at each other's throats... but a lot can change over the course of a journey as perilous as this. © The Hobbit/LOTR belongs to J.R.R. Tolkien (books) and Peter Jackson (films). I only own my OC Davina Roswell and her story.

"You need to know something," said Fili, taking her face in his large warm hands. "You will always have me. Even if the Valar take you away tomorrow, I will always be your brother. I want you. I'm going to fight Thorin for you, but even if I lose, you are always my sister. I would sooner stop being a dwarf than stop being your brother." Can exploring caves land you in a hobbit's pantry? But to do so she will have to understand why the Valar have sent her in the first place, something even Gandalf does not know. All Sara wants to do is return home so she can resume the search for her family but now she is stuck going on this insane quest. Why are wizard's so capricious? Thorin has first hand expearance with one, namely Gandalf. Thorin is determined to reclame his home in Erebor for his people and was even prepared to accept a hobbit on the quest. But now Gandalf insists that if he wants his help he must allow a woman from another world into his company as well. But just because the wizard brings her along doesn't mean Thorin has to play nice. Who is this woman anyhow and why is the Valar's mark on her hand?

One of the last of her kind, Nixie, is ruthlessly hunted by orcs, goblins and dark forces alike - fearing for her life, she goes into hiding for many years. Eventually, united by fate a certain Grey Wizard found her, timid and completely isolated from the world. Gandalf the Grey could not believe his eyes at his luck - he had found a water nymph; a creature that would be useful on the Quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain, the last remaining, mighty dwarf kingdom of Erebor. Nixie, however - is not completely convinced at the start. But, then she reluctantly joins the Company of Thorin Oakenshield, a prince without a crown she had heard many stories about - the dwarf lord that had killed the pale orc: Azog the Defiler. As the journey begins, Nixie plays a much larger part in the story than Gandalf had expected - as well as capturing the heart of a King without a crown, nor a Kingdom. "Born of water, Born of steam, Born of the hot, mountain springs, Only the nymph, Born on a summer moon, Can prevent corruption, in the long-forgotten crown." Sequel to In the End-The Hobbit ~Credit to J.R.R Tolkien for creating this amazing world and story. Credit also to Peter Jackson for turning this great books into one of the best movie trilogies, this of which is what my story is mainly based off. I understand that my story may not line up with Tolkien's history in Middle Earth, this is simply for entrainment purposes. Please enjoy x~

"Are you and my brother courting yet?" She sighed, annoyed. "No Fili, we aren't." "Well, tell me when you are. If he hurts you, I'll kill him." "Shouldn't you be threatening me? He's your brother, after all." "I figure you are perfectly capable of killing him yourself. And if you do have to, I'm sure he probably deserves it." A young princess was orphaned after her parents were brutally murdered, and for years, she exchanged her pain with anger and hatred towards the killer. She became a Ranger and traveled the lands of Middle Earth in search of revenge, but what she got instead was a quest to reclaim a homeland stolen by a dragon, some new friends, and a few major injuries. But it was all worth it, in the end.
