And at the same time, we'll destroy Jackson and Kristina's relationship. Make them think that their not right for each other. And next thing you know, you'll have Kristina, and I'll have Jackson, and everything will be how its supposed to be. Are you with me?" "Fine, I'll do it." He leans in close to my ear. "But don't get too attached. Remember this relationship is strictly business."

The world is left in ruins after the Great War. Jess is one of the few survivors. She lives with her family and friends in the Forest Sector. The Wall protects all of the civilians from the mutants, Savages, and Dead Eyes that plague the forest surrounding them. Jess has never been outside of the sector, and longs to explore the dangerous outside world. But people start disappearing and panic starts to spread, and Jess's sense of adventure gets her into more trouble than she could have ever imagined.

Left feeling empty, a girl struggles to live if not simply survive in a now meaningless world after a tragedy that has left her with seemingly nothing. (Inspired by the song "Little House" by The Fray)
