Natsu was banished from the Guild Fairy Tail after an incident with Gray Fullbuster who was almost killed by him, Natsu ran away from Magnolia, passed the forest and into the mountains and was never to be seen again. 2 years later Lucy, Gray, Juvia and Ezra accepted a quest to take down a beast that attacks civilians and animals that comes into contact with it. After travelling to the mountains, what they found was no Beast, but a demonic being of a half human and half dragon with a dark aura leaking from it.

Lucy Heartfilia is the leader of a mafia familia the 'Heartfilia'. Natsu Draneel is the leader of the dragneel familia. These are the two most dangerous and Powerful familias. Usually, people would expect these two to be rivals, but they aren't. They're parents are trying to get the two to marry and they will join together.

*this is my take on fairy tail. It's sorta mixed with buffy the vampire slayer but with my own twist, but I've changed nearly everything expect about the slayer part.
