I've been a spy in the Imperial Navy for seven years, and a part of an elite squad specifically for Tarkin for five of those years. Everything was normal, I reported back to Bail Organa regularly, sending him a constant influx of information on the Galactic Empire. Until my mission changed, and I was transferred to the Chimaera, under Commodore Thrawn's leadership. Can I continue to hide my true mission from the all-seeing Chiss? And of course the threat of a group of rebels who seek to end the established order. Although the plot revolves around the relationship(a lot of smut and love/hate) with Thrawn, there is much more. The force is represented on both the light and dark sides. Padawans, sith acolytes, unlimited power, battles and death.
