(set in a modern world where vampires exist and are more often than not filthy rich and have a lot of political power) Raven is an assassin, she has been hired to kill one of the powerful guests at a "ball" as her last mission(surprise surprise, and if you're wondering why a ball because vampires are old and they do stuff like that), little does she know that she has been set up (again surprise surprise). Wolf, the vampire in charge of the targets security is there and waiting for her but neither expects the attraction between them. This sets of a complicated chain of events that somehow leads to them working together to find the killer (oh another cliche), how could this possibly end well? There is a lot of sarcasm in my description but don't let that fool you I don't put in nearly as much in the actual story, in short my writing style for the description and the story itself is different.

(This is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the majority of the world is now covered in water...oh and there are mermaids...and monster and what not) Serenity is one of the last humans on earth (and we're not even sure she is human), she has been raised by mermaids all her life in, what is now an uneasy truce but was once something far darker, now the sea witch, Esmeralda, has escaped again (she does this a lot) and Serenity has been charged with the duty of finding the witch. Throw in Serenity finding more humans, one of which is a very hot guy who likes Serenity a bit more than he should considering he only just met her, and an equally hot mermaid prince (who hates being referred to as a mermaid) who also like Serenity. Oh and there's some extra stuff but that's spoilers.
