Dalton L. Rapattoni was this popular bad boy, perfect king of school. He was and had to be known by everyone in some way or another. Little did anyone know there was much more to this character that no one would find the truth about until Cole Alan Pendery moves back to Peach Cree High. Things get complicated, rules change and boundaries are pushed in this unlikely romance of the King and peasant with a voice.

I wasn’t supposed to fall in love with Cole Pendery, but how could I not? Everything about him was perfect. The way he sang, danced, his light brown eyes, his laugh, his sense of humor, and his personality. But there were a few problems. For one thing, we were both in relationships, and while I was starting to not feel anything anymore, he seemed to be falling more and more in love with his girlfriend Cassidy Shaffer each passing day; and no matter how much it hurt me to see Cole with her, I knew I had to deal with it. Last time we left off with the engagement of Cole and Dalton. As they prepare for their wedding, how will they deal with the married life, on top of their emerging career and the attempt to start a family? Cole and Dalton have dealt with a significant amount of hardships already, including Cole being shipped back to Texas and Dalton nearly dying, but this journey that they're in for is something unlike anything they've ever faced. Will they be able to handle it? Or will the pressures of fame and marriage prove to be too much for them?

Dalton is beat up on nearly a daily basis at school just for being himself, and his parents never seem to notice the small limp in his step or the marks by his eyes. But one person always does. Cole Pendery. Cole loves him more than Dalton could ever guess, but is too afraid to confront him. The one day he finally builds up the courage to kiss him, he finds out there’s serious consequences to love.
