Chapter One of a story I started. I'm only posting chapter one to get some feedback so I can see what works and what doesn't. It was a normal assignment: "parent" an egg for two weeks to learn about responsibility. For Kyle, however, the end of the assignment brings about a whole new beginning.

Andy Jackson is a college student, and is also a huge fangirl. She spends a lot of time reading, her friends say she reads too much and it doesn't help that she works in a library. She dreams of going to all of the places in her books even though she knows they aren't real. Or are they? One day it all changes when she starts re-reading The Hobbit and is suddenly sucked into the book. She finds herself confused and excited in the world of Middle Earth. *I do not own The Hobbit, only the original characters*

Happens modern days. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III great (Times 10) grandson has awakened his great (Times 10) grandfather's soul of a dragon and must find the hidden world and find his cousins to help bring dragons back into the world.

A Pirate captain seeks to avenge the death of his wife and find forgiveness from the son he abandoned when he went on the trail of revenge.

Humanity has been introduced to the galaxy, and as such, so has their weapons. This story is narrated by an alien by the name of Ozis as they are assigned to view and catalog these weapons. The wonders of human kinetics and explosives will be revealed to Ozis as they watch various demonstrations, some intentional, some otherwise.
